Someone who depends on a smartphone will feel anxious and panic if someone is not with the smartphone known as Nomophobia. Nomophobia is an excessive fear because someone is not able to communicate via cellphone or the internet. This study aims to determine the description of Nomophobia in nursing students due to smartphone use at Faculty of Health Science of Muhammadiyah Pekajangan Pekalongan University. The sample of the study was 234 nursing students from Faculty of Health Science of Muhammadiyah Pekajangan Pekalongan University with sampling techniques using proportional techniques and random sampling. The method of data collection uses quantitative research methods with measuring instruments in the form of nomophobia questionnaires. Data analysis techniques using Univariate analysis techniques in the form of frequency distribution tables and percentages. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that 100% of the study samples had nomophobia, of which 53% had moderate nomophobia 44% had severe nomophobia and 3% had mild nomophobia. . The conclusion of this study is that of the 234 nomophobia category respondents, the nomophobia category is moderate and at the age of 21 years more have severe nomophobia. So from these results, there needs to be treatment that must be done to reduce the tendency of nomphobia to not cause more serious adverse effects.
