PERBANDINGAN UJI AKTIVITAS ANTIBAKTERI EKSTRAK ETANOL DAUN MENGKUDU (Morinda citrifolia L.) DAN DAUN SALAM (Syzygium polyanthum (Wigh) W.) SERTA KOMBINASINYA TERHADAP BAKTERI Staphylococcus aureus

ABSTRACT Diseases in the oral cavity and surrounding areas caused by the Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. Noni leaf and salam leaf (Syzygium polyanthum (Wigh) W.) have compounds that can be used to inhibit growth and kill bacteria. This study aims to determine the comparison of antibacterial activity test of ethanol extract of noni leaf (Morinda citrifolia L.) and salam leaf (Syzygium polyanthum (Wigh) W.) and their combination of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. In the inhibitory test of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria disc diffusion method with a concentration of 12.5%, 25%, 50% and 75% and 1: 1, 1: 3, 3: 1 by comparison with Ampisilin. The results showed that the inhibition zone diameter in noni leaf (Morida citrifolia L.) extract concentrated 12.5% (12.66 mm), 25% (14.33 mm), 50% (16 mm), 75% (18.67 mm); Concentrated salam leaf (Syzygium polyanthum (Wigh) W.) extract 12.5% (14.67 mm), 25% (17.33 mm), 50% (19.67 mm), 75% (21.67 mm) and comparison of noni leaf (Morinda citrifolia L.) extract with 1: 1 salam leaf (Syzygium polyanthum (Wigh) W.) extract ( 18 mm), 1: 3 (16 mm) and 3: 1 (17.33 mm). The results showed the difference in the results of the inhibitory zone on Staphylococcus aureus bacteria and the results of ANOVA statistics showed significant differences where the significance was p <0.05.
