HUBUNGAN DUKUNGAN KELUARGA DENGAN SELF MANAGEMENT PADA PASIEN TB PARU YANG SEDANG MENJALANI PENGOBATAN DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS TIRTO 1 KABUPATEN PEKALONGAN

Tuberculosis is a chronic disease that must undergo treatment for a long time, so it requires the application of good self management. One of the factors that influence the success of treatment is family support. The purpose of this research is to determine the relationship between family support and self management in pulmonary TB patients who were undergoing treatment in the Tirto 1 Community Health Center Working Area in Pekalongan Regency. The design of this study uses descriptive correlation. The sampling technique uses total sampling with a total sample of 31 respondents. The data collection tool uses family support questionnaires and self management. Univariate analysis shows that respondents who have good family support are 17 respondents (54.8%), 14 respondents (45.2%) have less family support and 20 respondents (64.5%) have good self management, while 11 respondents (35.5%) have less self management. Bivariate analysis with chi-square test obtained p value 0.000 so it can be concluded that there is a relationship between family support and self management in pulmonary TB patients who are undergoing treatment in the Tirto 1 Health Center Working Area in Pekalongan Regency. The results of this study are expected to be used as input for the nursing profession to pay attention to the psychological aspects of pulmonary TB patients who are undergoing treatment, so that patients do not have a psychological condition with less self-management and be better in treatment.
