An Overview of the Knowledge and the Behavior of the Personal Protective Equipment among the Health Workers: The Literature Review Nurhikmah Rizkiani1 , Dafid Arifiyanto2 Underfraduate Program in Nursing, Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Muhammadiyah Pekajangan Pekalongan July, 2020 ABSTRAK The Backgrounds of the Study : It is commonly known tuberculosis is one of the dseases causes by mycobacterium tuberculosis. The people’s knowledge experience. Meanwhile, the behavior is affected by some factors such as predisposing factors (an education level, an experience, a perception, a motivation, and a gender), enabling, and amplifying factor. The Objectives : It aims to find out an overview of the knowledge and the beahavior of the personal protective equipment among the health workers. The Method : it is a literature review of secondary study and used the method by selecting four articles based on Google Scholar and Pubmed matched with the research inclusion and they have been analyzed farther. The analysis of these articles used mnemonic PCC. The Results : The results of this literature review stated half of respondents have a good knowledge; 1.073 (65,1%), and most of them behave disobediently for about 985 (60,4%). The Conclusions : from the results it could be concluded most of the health workers behave disobediently to use their personal protective equipment although they have an adequate knowledge but they do not apply it. Thus, they need to grow their awereness continuously to use their personal protective equipment due to their health.
