AIPNEMA mengadakan lomba “4th AIPNEMA student innovation competition
(ASIC)” yang bertujuan untuk menggali potensi mahasiswa dalam bidang
akademik dan non-akademik. Lomba yang diadakan meliputi 3 kategori yaitu:
essay, poster dan video pendek, dengan tema “Promotion and Prevention in
Vulnerable Population”. Kategori lomba yang diikuti adalah essay dengan judul
“Global Health Impact Of Mpox: Prevention Strategies And Future Readiness” dan
dikerjakan secara tim. Judul "Global Health Impact Of Mpox: Prevention Strategies
And Future Readiness" dipilih karena Mpox masih menjadi permasalahan
kesehatan global yang serius pada populasi rentan di seluruh dunia termasuk di
Indonesia. Pembahasan essay dilakukan dengan didasarkan pada 16 referensi
ilmiah baik nasional maupun internasional yang berhubungan dengan dampak
kesehatan global Mpox, strategi pencegahan melalui vaksinasi dan pengobatan
antiviral, serta pemberdayaan masyarakat dalam deteksi dini dan pencegahan
penularan. Penulisan naskah esai ini berlangsung dari bulan Oktober sampai dengan
November 2024, dan dibimbing oleh Ibu Windha Widyastuti, MNS. Juara hasil
lomba essay tersebut diumumkan pada acara rapat tahunan AIPNEMA pada tanggal
12-14 Desember 2024, dan berhasil mendapatkan juara 1 kategori analisis essay
tingkat Internasional.
