Bathelor Nursing Program Faculty Of Health Sciences Muhammadiyah University Pekajangan Pekalongan July, 2019 ABSTRACT Tunipah, Rita Dwi Hartanti The Correlation of Intradialytic Weight Gains (IDWG with the quality of life of hemodialysis patients at Kraton Hospital of Pekalongan Regency xv + 60 Page + 6 tables + 1 picture + 1 scheme + 6 appendices Chronic kidney failure with hemodialysis results in various changes in body conditions that can affect the quality of life of patients. A problem that often occurs in hemodialysis patients is weight gain between the two dialysis times. Weight gain can have an impact and affect the quality of life of hemodialysis patients. The study investigated the relationship of IDWG with the quality of life of hemodialysis patients. The study design uses a correlative descriptive study. The sampling technique is total sampling with a total of 112 respondents. Data collection tools use weight scales to measure patient weight and the quality of life questionnaire version KDQOL-SF ™ 1.3. Statistical tests using the Chi Square test. The results showed that more than half (55.4%) of IDWG respondents were in the average category and more than half (52.7%) respondents had low quality of life. The results of bivariate analysis showed that there was a significant relationship between IDWG and the quality of life of hemodialysis patients at Kraton Regional Hospital in Pekalongan Regency with a value of ρ value = 0.001 (<0.05). Fluid restriction in hemodialysis patients is very important to prevent excessive increase in IDWG in hemodialysis patients which can affect the quality of life of hemodialysis patients. Increased motivation to comply with fluid restriction is needed to prevent excessive IDWG and improve quality of life.
