Nurses in providing nursing care to reduce stress on patients required good caring behavior. This study aims to determine the relationship of nurse caring behavior with stress levels in patients with chronic renal failure undergoing hemodialysis therapy. The research design using descriptive correlative study. The sampling technique used total sampling and get 51 respondents. The data collection uses the Caring Behaviors Assessment Tool (CBAT) questionnaire and the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS-10). Statistical tests using the Kolmogorov-smirnov test. The results showed that more than half (52.9%) of respondents stated that nurses in the Hemodialysis Room of Bendan Hospital in Pekalongan City had low caring behavior and 35.3% of respondents of patients with chronic renal failure undergoing hemodialysis in Bendan Hospital Pekalongan City experienced severe stress. The results of the analysis show that there is a significant relationship between nurses' caring behavior and the stress level of patients with chronic renal failure who undergo hemodialysis in Bendan Hospital Pekalongan City, the value of ρ value is 0.003 (<0.05). Based on the results of the study, it is recommended that the institution increase nurses caring behavior to reduce patient stress levels, through in house training activities and by becoming a role model of behavior carried out by leaders on it.
